About Paint Executive

Built by people who understand the painting business

Paint Executive exists for one reason: to give painting companies the operational software they deserve. Not a generic contractor tool with a fresh coat of paint. A purpose-built platform engineered from the ground up for how painting businesses actually work.

Our Story

We didn't set out to build software. We set out to fix a broken industry.

Every painting company we talked to was running the same playbook: spreadsheets for estimates, text messages for crew schedules, paper folders for job files, and a QuickBooks account held together with duct tape.

The tools available were built for general contractors and then marketed to painters as an afterthought. They didn't understand line-item estimation by room. They didn't understand production boards or crew-based scheduling. They didn't understand the relationship between a painting company, its subcontractors, and its customers.

So we built something different. We started with the database schema -- modeling the real entities a painting company works with every day: leads, estimates, proposals, jobs, work orders, production phases, crew check-ins, color selections, subcontractor offers, invoices, and customer portals. Every table, every relationship, every Edge Function exists because a real painting workflow demanded it.

Paint Executive isn't a minimum viable product looking for a market. It's a deep, considered platform that respects the complexity of running a painting business -- and makes that complexity manageable.

Our Principles

What we believe about software for painting companies

Operational Clarity

A painting company owner should be able to see the state of every lead, job, crew, and invoice at a glance. No digging. No guessing. Clarity is the product.

Premium Practicality

Beautiful software that works on a job site. Responsive layouts, fast load times, and interfaces designed for paint-covered hands and bright sunlight.

Field-Ready Intelligence

Crew check-ins, photo documentation, production tracking, and crew communication -- all built for the field, not the conference room.

Product Truth

The screens you see reflect the real, working product. Some are direct screenshots; others are tasteful illustrations of the same workflows. We describe what the platform actually does -- not features that do not exist yet.

Integration Partners

Connected to the tools painting companies already use

Deep, native integrations -- not surface-level Zapier connections. Each partner is woven into the core workflow.

Stripe

Payment processing for deposits, progress payments, and final invoices. Embedded checkout in customer portal. Automatic reconciliation.

QuickBooks

Automatic QuickBooks Online sync for invoices, payments, and customer records. No double entry. Your books stay clean without the manual work.

Paint Color Catalog

15,000+ colors from 7 brands mapped by family, finish, and code. Customers select colors inside the portal. Crews see exact specs on work orders.

SendGrid

Transactional email for proposals, invoices, status updates, and customer notifications. Branded templates. Delivery tracking.

Twilio

SMS notifications for crew check-ins, schedule changes, and customer appointment reminders. Reliable delivery to the job site.

Intellectual Property

Patent-pending innovations we're pursuing

We're investing in protecting the novel systems that make Paint Executive fundamentally different from generic contractor tools.

1

Tri-Portal Architecture

Unified data model serving three distinct user portals -- owner, customer, and subcontractor -- with role-based access and real-time sync.

2

Production Phase Tracking System

Method for modeling multi-phase painting production with timestamped crew check-ins and photo documentation.

3

Smart Color Selection Interface

Customer-facing color selection system with manufacturer-accurate swatches, room-level assignment, and work-order propagation.

4

Subcontractor Price Isolation Protocol

System for presenting sub-specific pricing in offers while protecting the painting company's margin and client pricing data.

5

Integrated Proposal-to-Invoice Pipeline

End-to-end document flow from proposal generation through e-signature, deposit collection, job creation, and invoicing with accounting sync.

6

Painting Operations Intelligence Dashboard

Real-time business intelligence system synthesizing lead conversion, job profitability, and crew utilization for painting operations.
